The full formula

• Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) — the base of the bomb. Reacts with the citric acid to make the fizz.
• Citric acid — the other half of the fizz. Food-grade, the same stuff in lemon juice.
• Coconut oil — binds the bomb so it holds its shape, and stops the water feeling drying on little skin.
• Mild fragrance — a light, low-dose scent. Noticeable in the room for a minute, not lingering on pyjamas.
• Skin-safe, water-soluble colour — cosmetic-grade colourant that makes the water change shade as the bomb dissolves, then rinses straight down the drain.

Inside each bomb is one collectible sea-animal figure in moulded plastic. It isn't part of the formula and doesn't dissolve — it emerges as the fizz clears.

What's not in it

• No glitter, plastic microbeads or confetti.
• No harsh synthetic dyes — nothing that leaves a blue ring behind.
• No SLS or SLES.
• No parabens or phthalates.
• No essential-oil megadoses and no menthol or eucalyptus, which can be too much for kids.

Sensitive skin and eczema

The formula is deliberately gentle, but every kid's skin is its own thing. If your child has eczema, very dry skin or a history of reacting to bath products, patch-test first — the same way you would with any new wash.

• Crumble a pea-sized piece off a bomb and mix it into a cup of warm water.
• Dab a little on their inner forearm and leave it 24 hours.
• No redness or itch? You're good for a full bath.
• Keep the bath short and moisturise straight after towelling off. If skin flares at any point, stop using it and check in with your GP or pharmacist.

Not for use on broken skin, open wounds, or straight after sunburn.

Will it stain the tub?

No. The colour is water-soluble, so it drains out with the water and rinses clean — no blue rings, no scrubbing, no grout to bleach afterwards. If your bath has heavily worn or unsealed enamel, give it a quick rinse once the water's out and you'll never see a mark. Acrylic, enamel and fibreglass tubs are all fine.
